Affiliate disclosure
Lake Geneva Cruises is free to read because some of the links pay us. The lake we cover is the Swiss Lac Léman, at Geneva, Lausanne and Montreux, not Lake Geneva in Wisconsin. Here is exactly how the money works.
Which links earn us a commission
The "Check availability" buttons, and most of the in-text links that point to a specific cruise, go to GetYourGuide or Viator carrying our partner tag. The 12 cruises we feature are split across those two platforms. When you book after clicking one, the platform pays us a share of its own margin.
You pay the same either way
The price on the listing does not change because you arrived through us. Our cut comes out of the platform's margin, not your fare. Book the same cruise on your own and it costs you the same.
What we do not do
There are no display ads on this site, no sponsored posts, and no hotel or lodging affiliate links. GetYourGuide and Viator are the only two commercial relationships we have. If that ever changes, this page changes first.
Plenty of a Lake Geneva day pays us nothing
We write about a lot that earns us zero: the lakefront promenades at Geneva, Ouchy and Montreux, the Jet d'Eau seen from the shore, the Lavaux vineyard terraces on foot, and the scheduled CGN crossings you can book direct on cgn.ch. We cover those because they are part of the lake, not because they pay.
Nothing here is for sale to operators
A cruise cannot buy its way onto the site or up the order. Which listings appear, and how they rank, follows review volume and booking demand, not payment.
The live listing is the authority
Ratings and prices you see are the platform's own figures, read at the time we checked, shown in Swiss francs (CHF). GetYourGuide and Viator convert to your local currency at checkout. Between our checks a price or a rating can move, so the operator's live listing is always the final word.
How to avoid our links entirely
If you would rather we earned nothing, book straight on cgn.ch for scheduled and many dining or Belle Époque sailings, or go to GetYourGuide and Viator directly and search the cruise yourself.
